- Pick your desk. Since this is where you’ll be spending most of your time, you want your desk to be stylish and functional. To decide how big of a desk you want, it can be helpful to put masking tape down on the ground to map out your ideal desk size. If you’re working in a small space, consider a corner desk as this will make your room feel more open while offering plenty of work surface.
- Invest in a good office chair. Investing in an ergonomic office chair is essential. You may be spending anywhere from 30 to 50 hours a week sitting in it, so your back will thank you. Purchasing one with multiple adjustments is ideal so it fits you just right.
